Biography

Branson Hollis is a post hardcore/rock band from France. Consisting of five friends, they formed in early 2009.

A few months later, the band released their very first demo (called Dyad), recorded at Boss Hog Studio in Northern France.

The next year, they wrote and recorded Diving Suits Drying, a 5 track EP including critically acclaimed 'The Jar' and 'New Colours, New Shapes'. It was released October 18th 2010.

Around these times, the band was fast gaining a devoted following and got promoted 'French upcoming band of the year' by OUIFM radio (Bring The Noise). The EP Diving Suits Drying was also voted 'favorite release' by FNAC.com.

After touring for Diving Suits Drying, the band worked hard on its first album and is currently recording at Glow In The Dark Studios (Atlanta, Georgia) by Matt McClellan and mixed by Matt Goldman.

L'année suivante, ils composent et enregistrent « Diving Suits Drying », un EP 5 titres incluant « The Jar » et « New Colours, New Shapes », sorti le 18 octobre 2010.

Ces deux efforts (« Dyad » et l'édition spéciale de « Diving Suits Drying ») sont en ce moment même téléchargeables gratuitement sur www.bransonhollis.com.

Durant cette période, le groupe réussi à rapidement s'imposer et est élu entre autres « découverte française de l'année 2010 » par les auditeurs de OUIFM (Bring The Noise). Le EP « Diving Suits Drying » est aussi voté « coup de coeur » par la FNAC.

Après avoir tourné pour « Diving Suits Drying », Branson Hollis a préparé son premier album et enregistre actuellement aux Glow In The Dark Studios (Atlanta, Georgie) par Matt McClellan et mixé par Matt Goldman.
